We spotted the "DrinKlip" at the opening of 100% Design and we can't quite decided whether its complete genius or totally superfluous. Resembling a giant clothes peg, the product keeps your coffee at a safe distance from your laptop and papers, clipped to the side of your worktop. Is this the space saving device that messy creative types have been searching for, or is this just the physical manifestation of health and safety gone mad?

nutty. seems like it would be creating all sorts of reality/ complexities that would increase the cups spilling of the liquid inside of it...
but i guess you gotta design something for websites to showcase...;)
I cringe when i see something like this. If you design accessories for disposable items, you've been sleeping in class. This product doesn't even solve a problem, you'd still need a table to use it.
how about putting it on the table? senseless design. imo.
I saw this there too and they had toothbrushes and stuff in some of em, pencils in others. Drinks are probably actually the most superfluous use shown but the others did kinda make sense
Not Superfluous. I would buy this for my canoe. No cup holders will stay on the lip of the boat and beer spillage in your canoe is not fun. Neither is paddling with a beer between your legs.
I think they were thinking of me when this was designed :) I'm usually working off of one of those TV dinner stands with my laptop on it since my boyfriend's gear takes up the office area. This is effin handy. And, my boyfriend's a dj who uses all of the surface space in front of him for his gear. This could be useful to him too.
It's for my space! I love it!
